This small country is sometimes very surprising. One of the examples: success story of international grandmaster Bent Larsen, who is very well-known in the chess world. He became the champion of Denmark in 19 years; subsequently he managed to beat six Soviet world champions and Bobby Fischer.
Bent Larsen’s style of chess was fighting and offensive. Because of this the Soviet chess players called him "Danish Viking." He died in 2010. God rest his soul. See the photo above.
In 1992 the Danes won the 1992 UEFA European Football Championship. Richard Møller Nielsen led the team as a coach. That was a sensation!
