Mini-contest: "The Scandinavian traces in the Russian North"

My blog - Scandinavia: worthwhile notes & stories (http://putevaya-scandi.blogspot.com/) - announces mini-contest: "The Scandinavian traces in the Russian North"

The main prize (thin magnet with beautiful scenery) and the additional prize (5 colorful pictures from my latest trip in paper form/JPEG format) will go to someone who’ll be the first to answer the question:

Which town of the Republic of Karelia (the Russian Federation) did I visit at the beginning of September 2015?

Additional prizes: 1 (one) colorful picture in JPEG format (will be sent you by e-mail/social networks) will go to all other mini-contest participants, who can guess the correct answer.

So, let’s see my tips:

Tip number 1: At the time this town was ruled by Sweden, the Russian empire, Finland, the Soviet Union and then Russia.

Tip number 2: The town was founded earlier than other cities in the Republic of Karelia.

Tip number 3: There is a unique museum of sculptural reliefs made of wood in this town.

Please give your answers in the comments to this post in Facebook, Twitter, Google+

The winner will be officially announced in a month - see my blog/social networks

The main prize will be sent to the postal address of the winner.

We look forward to your feedback!
