Which Scandinavian awards came from the era of the Knights (part 3)

The Order of the Dannebrog (see the photo above) got its title because of red with a white cross of the Danish flag. 

This award is given for merits and individuals with any social status can be awarded it. The motto of the Order: PIETATI ET JUSTITAE (piety and justice). By the way, one of the Russian Knights of the Order is the famous cellist and conductor Mstislav Rostropovich.

The star of the Royal Order of the Seraphim (see the photo below) - the oldest and the main Swedish premium award. According to the statute of this award, developed in the XVIII century by the Swedish King Frederick I, it was given to sovereigns, princes and citizens who deserved the highest public office through their own merits. This order was awarded to the Empress Catherine II, Paul I, Alexander I and a number of Russian emperors, the famous statesman and reformer Pyotr Stolypin.
