Charming Stockholm fountains (part 1)

“...hiding under his coat the stolen, inexhaustible fountains.”
“The Fountains” (Orsinian Tales Collection, 1976), Ursula K. Le Guin

And I’ve hidden for myself some marvellous Stockholm fountains. OK, I’m ready to share them with you.

So, let’s start with charming Molin's Fountain (see the photo above). It was created by Johan Peter Molin in 1886. To my mind, this fountain is simply "crowded" with mythological characters. Here you can see the ocean god Aegir with his wife Ran, their daughters and even water sprite. Some beautiful willows grow around this beautiful sculpture. And don’t forget about the majestic swan - it is located at the foot of the fountain.

Another charming Stockholm fountain is situated on Karlaplan square in Östermalm - "cool" area of Stockholm, with its luxury shops and elegant buildings.
